Restaurant review: Kera-la-carte, Wellington

Considering India has more than 40 regional and ethnic cuisines, why do you suppose it is that Wellingtonians receive just one – the tandoori cooking of the Punjab and Pakistan?

At Le Cordon Bleu we teach that every restaurant must identify its unique selling proposition (USP), an exercise which might prove challenging for the 70-odd near-identical tandoori houses that now exist in Greater Wellington.

Kera-la-carte, Courtenay Place’s newest a-la-carte restaurant, on the other hand, may have a terrible pun for a name, but at least it comes with its USP already encoded.
