OPINION: Here goes, I’m going to risk the wrath of the Twittersphere by saying that when I saw the Net-a-Porter photoshop blunder, with the instructions to perform digital trickery accidentally left on the picture, I laughed like a drain.
The upmarket site had posted the snap of a woman wearing a tartan skirt, bomber jacket and white T-shirt. On her feet are block sandals and - the whole point of the image - a pair of $62 silk blend socks completely upstaged by the blue arrows to her arms, wrists and hands, annotated with the words “please slim”.
