I can still remember my mum’s horror at finding out that my kids weren’t dry at night by the age of 4 – apparently in her day that never happened. Much as I admire my mum for her incredible parenting skills, I actually don’t believe her… I suspect looking back allows the memory to put on rose-tinted spectacles and only remember the good bits.
