OPINION: It’s not a promising start for vegetarians when the restaurant doesn’t have a vege main on the menu, just a line that says something like: Ask about our special vegetarian options.
If they can’t be bothered to name something, it says a lot about the effort that will go into making it.
Even worse is where there’s no mention at all and the waiter says, “I’ll check if the chef can do something.”
