Perched on a lonely moor 528 metres above sea level, the Tan Hill Inn has held the Guiness World Record for the highest pub in Britain since 1976.
Getting there can be a bit of a mission - you either navigate a series of winding narrow roads or walk at least several kilometres along the Pennine Way - but that makes you all the more deserving of a drink when you get there.
