Auckland chef Ben Bayly, senior chef at The Grove restaurant and judge on My Kitchen Rules NZ, is pictured as an 18-year-old in 2000 at Johnson and Wales University of Culinary Arts in Providence, Rhode Island, US. He’s surrounded by classmates who’d also go on to make to their mark on the world food scene.
