It has been 10 years this month since my sister died. Ten years since I got that phone call and starting racing to my parents’ house. Ten years since I stood by my sister’s grave, still a little bit convinced that we had made a terrible mistake. She will be so embarrassed when she comes back! I kept telling myself. It took me weeks to understand that she was actually gone.
