Surviving breast cancer: Does eating less fat make a difference?

It’s a decades-long debate: does trimming dietary fat reduce the odds of developing breast cancer – or having a recurrence of the disease? The research results so far are a mixed bag. Some studies find a link between dietary fat and an increased breast cancer risk but others don’t. Just to muddy the picture even more, some research suggests that certain fats – olive oil and omega-3 fats from fish – might be protective.
