Poor old peanuts. Almonds get activated, cashews are whizzed into “mylk”, expensive macadamias get choc-dipped, but the humble peanut is at the bottom of the nut heap. Its allergenic properties see it banned from schools and relegated to bars where it’s offered as an incentive to order more drinks.
