Kiwi food writer remembers her best and worst Christmas dinners

Lucy Corry’s 2012 Christmas started with popping candy chocolates out of the stockings and ended with summer pudding. In between there was whitebait, Ruth Pretty’s basil and lemon sandwiches, and beef fillet with green beans. Planning a Christmas menu is one of life’s great culinary joys. But life can derail even the most organised cook. Here, Lucy shares some bittersweet festive memories.
