It's always a joy to land in Queenstown but it's not my final stop today. We leave the jagged peaks of The Remarkables behind and head for the most southerly grape-growing region in the world, where temperatures start to climb and splashes of orange, brown and yellow permeate a rugged desert-like landscape -- it's dreamlike after an early flight from Auckland.
