Recipe: Sam Mannering's Middle Eastern salad of freekeh and pomegranate

When I was a young wannabe, Adie McClelland of Black Dog Cottage Cookbook fame, taught me an important approach to cooking – focus on the accompaniment, not the protein. I took that advice to heart, and every time I make something like this dish, I feel she’d approve.
