Having occupied the same premises for the past 30 years, you might say Aro Cafe is a fixture, except that the interior decoration has never stood still. From a front window mural of vine tendrils and birds plus associated hippie mismatched furniture the cafe had when first opened, we nowadays have a sleek, co-ordinated black-and-white design scheme seemingly aimed at Goths, or perhaps more accurately, reformed former Goths who over the past 20-30 years have turned into comfortable middle class professionals with disposable incomes.
