Long-awaited and much-anticipated, the newest addition to St Asaph St's night life has finally opened. Empire, owned by the same group who own Baretta and The Cuban, opened on March 17 with much fanfare. The new venue is easily spotted, right next door to Baretta and fitted out with a grey stone facade and Japanese characters. It has been in the works for months with not a glimpse of the interior due to the lack of street side windows to peer through. Inside, the vibe has been tailored to a Japanese den of nighttime eating and drinking, with the capacity to convert to more of a club in the late night scene at the weekends.
