Peter Gordon welcomes me warmly into his kitchen at Auckland's The Sugar Club with a European style kiss on each cheek. We met briefly before, once or twice maybe, but he has the kind of familiarity you have with old friends - he's that kind of man. He's also softly spoken and kind.
